Alter Hafen

The Old Port is the first artificial harbor basin in Bremerhaven, founded in the period between 1827-1830, a group of Dutch entrepreneurs were commissioned to implement because they had the necessary technical and organizational knowledge in hydraulic engineering. Large parts of the old port were renovated and the old dock for ships was restored in 1999. The museum is home to one of Germany's most famous open-air maritime museums.
