The Arch of Augustus or as it is called the "Holy Arch" is a monument dating back to 25 BC in the city of Aosta. It was built on the occasion of the Roman victory over the Selassie. The monument is about 11.4 meters high and takes the form of an arch decorated with ten decorative columns. The monument includes a fortress and a cellar inside, and the monument is crowned from the bottom at the cellar with a copy of the archaeological wooden cross found in the treasures of the Aosta Museum, which dates back to 1447. The monument was subjected to many restoration operations, the last of which was in 1912, which resulted in its final form.
