Located in the Shire Hall (Butchers' Hall), this Renaissance-style museum brings together a rich collection of prehistoric antiquities and also displays the 1747 Namur Street Plan, which describes the urbanization and architecture of the city in the 18th century. The museum offers a chronological itinerary through the impressive collection of Roman and Merovingian antiquities. Upstairs the history of Namur is presented in seven rooms, as well as jewelry and glassware.
