Founded in 1993, the Museum of Asian Civilizations is located in the famous Clarke Quay on the banks of the Singapore River. It is the only museum in the region dedicated to exploring the artistic heritage of Asia, especially the ancestral cultures of the Singaporeans; It sheds light on the historical links between Asian cultures, and between Asia and the world. On its ground floor, you will find an exhibition of handicrafts and artwork that tells stories about Singapore's history as a trading center for world trade, and it also includes many other exhibitions such as the Khoe Tek Buat Gallery, which displays the famous Tang shipwreck.
