Astım Cave

Astim Cave is a distinctive and unique natural wonder, located in the city of Mersin, and attracts attention with its unique beauty and is visited by many tourists today. It is believed that the Astim Cave, or as it is called the Asthma Cave, is beneficial for asthmatics and has positive improvements. This cave helps to open the breath of those who visit it because of its air, which was the subject of even legends, as it dates back to the third geological era. The galleries of the 200-meter-long Astim Cave are linked together and made up of giant stalactites and stalagmites, each composed of an accumulation of minerals called silica. While the humidity in this cave is about 85 percent in the summer, it reaches about 95 percent in the summer. In winter, in addition, the interior lighting of the cave makes for great photo ops.
