Augustins Museum
The Augustine Museum is one of the oldest museums in France. It opened its doors for the first time in 1795 after the French Revolution and shortly after the opening of the Louvre Museum in Paris. It was created with the aim of protecting the masterpieces of Toulouse from the vengeful whims of the revolutionaries. A collection of paintings and sculptures from the early Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century, including Romanesque reliefs and Gothic sculptures.
