Ayazma Monastery
This monastery, which belongs to the Greek Orthodox Church and was built by Manolaki Manolidis in 1734, is located in the south of Bozcaada. This monastery was named after the Greek saint Aya Paraskevi, who has an important place in the Orthodox belief, as she is a saint who lived between the years 138-161 AD. The monastery includes a spacious garden, a double fountain, and is known to be surrounded by huge plane trees. The Ayazma Monastery also opens for worship on July 26 of each year, which is the Greek Paraskevi Day, where tables are prepared and described under the trees, various meals are served, and visitors dance to the melodies of pleasant music.
