Fish Lake, also known as Ibrahim Lake or Khalil Rahman Lake, is a lake in the southwest of the city of Şanlıurfa known in Jewish and Islamic stories as the place where Nimrud threw the Prophet Abraham into the fire that turned into water, and it is among the most visited places in the region. The lake is 150 meters long, 30 meters wide, and about 3-5 meters deep. It contains carp-type fish that are subject to legends, and that is why it was called the Fish Lake.
