The famous Balos Beach is located about 56 km northwest of Chania and 17 km northwest of Kissamos. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Crete, and a favorite place for many tourists and locals. This beach is famous for its turquoise waters and stunning natural beauty, and during the summer, it is visited by thousands of people who arrive mostly by ferries that depart from the port of Kissamos. Besides, the water at this beach is shallow and warm, which makes it ideal for children.
