Barril Beach

Parel Beach is one of the finest beaches in the eastern Algarve, not only is it characterized by soft white sand and crystal clear sea water, but also provides an insight into the fishing heritage of the region, as it was once the site of a small tuna fishing community, and the remnants of this ancient industry have been converted into Tourist facilities, and the most prominent feature of this beach is the "Marassi Cemetery"; It is a memorial dedicated to the abandoned fishing community, where hundreds of anchors formerly used by the fishing fleet have been placed on the sand banks.
