Barrio Santa Cruz was the ghetto or place where Jews lived. The streets are narrow and a maze. It's easy to get lost among the jasmine-scented streets only to discover a convent, palace or hotel. Many of the palaces have beautiful iron gates. There are many small shops and some Artisan shops, as well as good art galleries.
