Basilica of San Francisco
The San Francisco Church was founded in 1281 AD and includes the tomb of the philosopher and scientist Ramón Llull. It is considered a good example of Gothic architecture. In 1580 the original facade was destroyed by lightning and the new facade was rebuilt in the Baroque style by Pere Horrach and Francisco de Herrera. When you enter the church, you will need some time to admire the stonework and carvings dating back to the fourteenth century, in addition to the unique Gothic architectural details such as the vaulted ceiling and interior columns.
