The Beemster Arboretum is a unique collection of woody plants that can continue to grow for several days. The Arboretum is the third largest group of trees and shrubs in the Netherlands. It consists of about 2,600 species and varieties of trees and plants. The total number of shrubs and trees is about 6,000 trees on average. An area of 7.5 hectares, the place aims primarily to preserve endangered species and trees, and tourists can take tours inside the place to learn about its biodiversity.
