Belgrad Forest
Belgrade is a forest in every sense of the word, and is the best place to frolic among the fallen leaves. It is located about 15 kilometers outside the city and you will be pleased to know that there are buses that run to it from time to time during the day. This forest was named after the thousands of Serbs who were deported from Belgrade in 1521 AD when it fell to the Ottomans. When you visit this forest, you will find trails under construction, picnic areas, an arboretum open to all, and the giant park contains more than 2,000 species of exotic and native plants.
