Bergkirche

The Catholic congregational church was built in the early 18th century by Prince Paul Esterházy. Eisenstadt was the seat of the Esterházy family. The church is a short walk west of the family's main mansion. This church is characterized by an unusual architectural style, and it is built in two parts, and it is distinguished from the inside by its beautiful Baroque character. This church is famous for its ancient musical history, as many musical performances are organized in it, including performances by Joseph Haydn, a composer in the classical period, which made it the incubator for the grave of this wonderful musician.
