Description of the place
The Bharat Mata Mandir is located in the sanctum of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth in Varanasi, India. Instead of traditional statues of deities, this temple contains a huge map of undivided India carved in marble. The map depicts mountains, plains and oceans on a grand scale. This temple is dedicated to Bharat Mata and claims to be the only one of its kind in the world. The Bharat Mata Mandir was built in 1936 AD and was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. The temple also contains a statue of Bharat Mata made of marble symbolizing undivided India.
