Bhau Daji Lad Museum Mumbai

Founded in 1872, this ancient museum was the first museum in Mumbai, and displays within it the cultural heritage of the city and its history through a rare collection of fine and decorative arts that shed light on early modern art practices. The permanent collection includes clay miniatures, maps, lithographs, Photographs and rare books document the lives of the people of Mumbai and the history of the city from the late eighteenth century to the early twentieth century.
