Description of the place
Due to its hilltop location, Blois Cathedral can be seen from almost anywhere in and around the beautiful city of Blois, and unlike most great cathedrals, it only has one tower, probably because it started as a church before it was elevated to the status of a cathedral in 1697. Most of the cathedral's windows were destroyed by bombing during World War II, but over time, they were replaced and repaired.
