Blue Grotto

Located near the village of Medina in Malta, the Blue Grotto is a unique natural architectural masterpiece that sits in the middle of the island's sea like a jewel. This cave can be reached, by boat, and during the trip one can also see the small uninhabited island of Filfa. This picturesque natural cave reflects the wonderful phosphorescent colors of the underwater plants, and provides a breathtaking island scene, where cliffs rise from the Mediterranean Sea and the foaming of the waves as they crash against the rock face can lead to some excellent photography shots.
