Botanical Garden
The St. Gallen Botanical Garden is located at Stephanshornstrasse 4 in the Neudorf suburb of St. Gallen. The garden displays 8,000 varieties of plants collected from different regions around the world. The plants in the garden are distributed in the external gardens and in the greenhouses. European plants were placed in the external gardens because they tolerate cold weather, and tropical plants were placed in greenhouses because they need high temperatures. This botanical garden is considered a historical garden, as it was established in the year 1878, and it was initially a medium-sized garden with an area of 6,000 square meters, but it expanded through the ages and became a very huge garden.
