Botanical Garden

It is a botanical garden of the University of Rostock, established in 1885. It extends over a wide area of 7.8 hectares, and includes more than about 10,000 plant species of colorful flowers, trees, small shrubs and herbs. The garden consists of a group of greenhouses and Japanese gardens, in addition to a garden dedicated to medicinal plants and spices. A collection of water ponds, stone basins, sculptures, dirt paths and water channels adorn the garden, along with a small wooden hut located in the heart of the garden.
