Botanical Garden of Villa Thuret
The Villa Tourette Botanical Garden in Cape Antibes was established in 1857 by the French botanist Gustave Thuret with a special interest in algae and served as the first privately funded research laboratory in France, in which acclimatization experiments were carried out on many plants. Exotic in collaboration with the Paris Museum, and in addition to the scientific results obtained, the garden helped introduce a group of exotic plant species to the landscape of the Côte d'Azur.
