The Budapest City Archives preserve documents relating to the history of the capital from the 14th century to today, including the estate of one of the greatest Hungarian architects, the György Klösz portrait collection, documents of city government, judicial organs, civil law notaries, state and church records, schools, digitized records and databases, All of them constitute historical sources. The archive has an exhibition room, where temporary exhibitions relating to the history of Budapest can be visited, and working areas such as digitization, bookbinding and preservation workshops can be visited by arranging an appointment.
