Burullus Lake
Lake Burullus is one of the largest natural lakes in Egypt and a wonderful reserve in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. It is located east of the Rosetta branch of the Nile and is separated by a sandy strip from the Mediterranean Sea. It was declared protected during the year 1998. The lake is characterized by high sand dunes and about 135 species of plants, Including fibres, medicinal and fodder plants, it is also a suitable shelter to receive large numbers of migratory wild birds of all kinds, and therefore it is the right place for bird lovers who want to enjoy bird watching.
