Cacilhas Lighthouse

Casells Lighthouse is located in Casells Parish in the city of Almada on the other side of the Tagus River. The lighthouse began operating on December 31, 1885, with the purpose of marking the southern boundary of the anchorage area on the Tagus River, an area of heavy fog; Although the lighthouse did not work, it was restored in 2009, as it is considered an important part of the heritage of the city of Almada.
