Cape Arkona
Cape Arkona is a 45-meter-high cape on the island of Rügen in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern district. It forms the tip of the Witto Peninsula a few kilometers north of Jasmund National Park. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Rügen, receiving around 800,000 visitors annually. In addition, there are two lighthouses on the cape, a navigational tower, two military bunkers, the Slavic temple fortress of Jaromarsberg, and many tourist buildings such as restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops.
