Casa Batllo

The colorful Casa Batlló, an old house dating back to the 19th century, renovated in the well-known neoclassical style, is one of the many masterpieces of the famous architect Gaudi in Barcelona. This building has become a famous landmark in Barcelona and is open to the public. It was awarded the 2004 Europa Nostra Prize for Preserving Cultural Heritage and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005. It is definitely a landmark worth visiting, as it features stunning decorations. And oval windows, and stone carvings, and a lot of mosaics that decorate the facade, ceramic tiles, and the arched ceiling.
