It is a castle located at the entrance to the old port, where it was built to protect the pier and the port. The castle took its current form between 152 AD and 1540 AD after the old building was destroyed by the earthquake. The castle is being restored continuously due to the strong waves that cause destruction to the castle's stones. The castle consists of two floors, where the ground floor was used as a store for foodstuffs and ammunition, and it contained 26 rooms. Now the castle is open to visitors and is also used for art exhibitions and various cultural activities.
