Castelo do Queijo Beach
Castelo do Queijo Beach
The name Castelo do Quejo beach translates to "Cheese Castle Beach", and this name actually comes from the Fort of St. Francis Javier that overlooks the beach, and the fort is said to be built on a rock that looks like a huge piece of cheese. The beach itself is a short stretch of sand and rock, and although it's not as popular as nearby Matasinhos Beach, it can still get crowded during the summer months.
