The Cathedral of Christ the King is a cathedral of a wonderful neoclassical nature, and it is considered one of the world that attracts many tourists to the city. Its most important feature is the altar made of coal, which was built as a dedication to the memory of those who perished in the Silesian mine while working. In addition, it has a beautiful dome with a height of up to 40 meters. It is also the largest arch church in Poland, and it is the only church built in the twentieth century.
