The Cathedral of Saint Alexander Nevsky de Novosibirsk is an Eastern Orthodox cathedral and one of the first stone buildings in the city of Novonikolaevsk. It was named after Saint Alexander Nevsky. It was built in the neo-Byzantine architectural style between 1896-1899. A special memorial to Tsar Alexander III who initiated the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway which led to the establishment of a modern railway in Novonikolaevsk.
