Trento Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Trento, northern Italy. It is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trento, and is dedicated to St. Vigilius, the city's patron saint. The church was built on the ruins of an earlier church from the 16th century. The church was the seat of the Bishop of Trent until 1802 AD. The church is characterized by attractive architecture that draws attention from the inside and outside, as it was built in the Roman style, as the main facade of the church contains a large window of roses, in addition to a wheel of fortune and a wooden cross at the entrance. The interior of the church is decorated with a group of frescoes from the fourteenth century. ,
