Centre Charlemagne
The Charlemagne Center, nicknamed the "New City Museum", is located in the heart of the former Charlemagne district, and presents the city's history in a lively way for children and adults alike. This center is a great place for families with children, where visitors can immerse themselves in the Carolingian period by experiencing all kinds of Activities in the history lab. The center's exhibitions offer a tour through the history of Aachen from the Neolithic Age to the present day, their main focus being the history of Charlemagne without which the city would not have acquired its historical significance as a medieval coronation city or as a place of European commemoration.
