Chiesa di San Maurizio

The church is located on the site of a former place of worship and is adjacent to the Benedictine nunnery, the largest and oldest monastery in Milan. Today, there are still parts of the monastic complex, which are located on the Roman ruins and walls. Construction work began on the edifice that we are currently seeing in 1503 AD, and its parts are still standing today. When you visit this church, you can see the splendor of the majestic architecture on its walls, and the way it is decorated from the inside with golden leaves and beautiful wall paintings.
