Christian Quarter

This neighborhood was given this name due to the fact that most of the residents of the neighborhood are Christians. This neighborhood is located northwest of the Old City and extends from the steps of Bab Khan al-Zeit in the middle of the market to Bab al-Khalil. The Church of the Resurrection is located in this neighborhood, which is opposite Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque and the Greek Orthodox Church. A number of schools and educational buildings such as the Lutheran School are located in this neighborhood. This neighborhood is an ideal place full of souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants, goldsmiths' shops, jewelry and many other stores that make the neighborhood a prominent tourist destination in the city.
