Church of Saint Mary of the Carmel

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church is a Roman Catholic church that was established in 1931 AD. It is located near the cathedral in front of the court building in Messina. It replaces the previous church that was destroyed by the Messina earthquake in 1908. It is known in the city as Carmine Church. It is considered an architectural masterpiece, as it was designed in the Baroque style by the architect Cesare Bazzani. The church is distinguished by the bright white color of its walls, which is decorated with silver ornaments and engravings. The walls of the church are topped by a group of statues and stone carvings.
