Description of the place
The Church of São Domingos belongs to the old monastery of Santa Cruz, which was founded by the Dominican monk Bartolomeu dos Mártires. It was built between 1566 and 1576 according to the design of the Dominican monk Julião Romero. Inside, you can enjoy watching many altars with Beautiful gilded carvings, with emphasis on the great altar of the north arm of the transept.
