The Roman Catholic Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola is located in Jahlava in Masaryk Square. What distinguishes this church most are two Gothic sculptures from the end of the fourteenth century. It also includes a number of statues of saints, including Saint Ignatius de Loyola, after whom the church is named. And St. John the Baptist, in addition to a statue of the Virgin Mary, and a large fresco on the ceiling that was painted in 1717 by Karel František Tepper. The church is considered a distinguished tourist landmark and an important religious tourism destination in the region, due to its historical importance.
