Citadel of Namur
Namur Castle is a castle located in the Walloon capital of Namur, at the confluence of the Sambre and Meuse rivers. Its origin dates back to Roman times, but it has been rebuilt several times. Its present form was designed by Menno van Cohorn, and improved by Vauban after the siege of 1692. It has been designated as a major heritage site in Wallonia. It is now a popular site for guided tours and visits and you can enjoy simply walking its green squares overlooking the stunning views of the city.
