Description of the place
It is the main market square, also known as Gross Market or Old Market. You will find that the market is the heart of Bruges and brings together all the main things you want to see and experience on your visit to Bruges. It is a square located in the heart of Bruges and covers an area of about one hectare. In 1995, it was built. Complete restoration of the market. The parking lot in the square has been abolished, and the area is mostly traffic-free, thus suitable for celebrations. The restored market opened in 1996 with a concert by Belgian singer Helmut Loti.
