Description of the place
Housed in the late Baroque home of artist and founder Johann Christian Wentzinger, the museum displays treasures from the city's 900 years of history. The models, which show Freiburg with its walls and gates, date back to the Middle Ages around 1600. The Museum of the City's History was opened in 1994. It is a section of the Augustinian Museum and has rich and ancient collections.
