Description of the place
The Clock Tower is one of several distinct landmarks built in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain in the 1970s when the UAE embarked on a modern development programme. It was designed in the form of a circular clock with hands that move periodically, and its edges were decorated with fountains and lights that complemented side by side to form a distinctive landmark, visible to the eye as they roamed the streets of Al Ain.
