Description of the place
The Coconut Palace was built by order of the wife of former Philippine President Imelda Marcos, in order to host Pope John Paul II on his visit to the Philippines in 1981 AD, but he refused to reside in it due to the high cost of its construction, which amounted to 37 million dollars; It was named by this name because of the use of coconut and banana plants and trees in its construction.
