Congregados Basilica
Work on the Basilica of Congregados began in the early 18th century when Baroque design was dominant in Portugal, and by the time its construction was completed, Rococo and Neoclassical styles had taken their share of the architectural styles of Braga, and the result was this church. Stunning inside and out. The church was designed by architect André Soares, and includes two bell towers, and its façade contains two prominent statues by sculptor Manuel Nogueira da Silva representing Saints Felipe de Nery and Martinho de Dom. de Dume).
