Spanning the Grand Canal, the simple-architecture Constitution Bridge of steel and glass, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, connects the railway station with the bus station and parking complex in Piazzale Roma. This bridge has a paved staircase and overlooks the boats floating in the Venetian lagoon.
