Description of the place
Contoy Island is a small uninhabited island, 8.5 km long and 20 meters wide, located in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, about 30 km north of the wonderful Isla Mujeres, and it was declared in 1998 as a national park, and it is famous for its pristine beaches with turquoise waters and white sand, It is also one of the most important areas in Mexico for nesting birds and sea turtles.
