Crab Replenishment Reserve
The Crab Replenishment Reserve is located in the middle of the beautiful island of Andros. It was established in 2002 to provide protection for wild crabs to allow them to breed to meet the food needs of the population. These crabs have been a staple food for the people of the Bahamas for decades, and this 4,000-acre reserve includes inland areas where crabs burrow and coastal areas where they lay their eggs.
