Csokonai Theater

The Chukonai Theater is one of the largest and oldest theaters in the city of Debrecen. It was named after one of the first Hungarian writers of the modern era, Mihaly Chukonai. It is also considered one of the finest theaters in Hungary. This theater dates back to the nineteenth century AD, and it consists of three levels with a romantic architectural character, golden balconies, huge wall panels, and beautiful chandeliers. This theater hosts many performances, concerts, dance parties, tragedies and operas.
