Cubitos Ecological Park

Kopetos Ecological Park is a protected natural area covering approximately 90.45 hectares of the state of Hidalgo. It is divided into three sections: Recovery, Restricted Use, and Heavy Use. The first two correspond to the ecological reserve of the park and the other consists of an eco-house, an interactive farm, a biological conservation area, a botanical garden, a maze, an arboretum, an eco-play area, a bike path and walkways. Also located in the park are the Environmental Education and Training Center and the Forest Monitoring Center of the Germplasm Bank and Environmental Analysis. As for restricted use, the main objective is to preserve endemic, rare or endangered species and to ensure reproductive events for plants and animals.
