Cumberland Castle is located northeast of Gmunden and was built between 1882-1886 AD in the Tudor style. King George V of Hanover was the first owner of the castle and then the royal family settled in it. The Nazis occupied the castle during World War II and then the Austrian government seized it and closed it for restoration. and carrying out repairs, but today it is open for tourists to visit and learn about its history.
